Working for heat

Aurel Solomon (30) relies on wood that he collects and splits himself for heating in his small home in Holbav, Romania. The house is not connected to the electricity grid. As the house is far from the nearby town, Aurel's four younger siblings live near their school during the school terms; otherwise, they would have to walk more than an hour each way, every day. The younger siblings come back to live with Aurel during vacations. About three years ago, an NGO installed a solar panel that provides enough power for lighting and a few devices for a couple of hours per day.
