A spokesman for the Prague-South District of Warsaw confirms that claims have been made against the former owners of the tenement house at 13 Minsk. With these claims unresolved at present, only ongoing maintenance works can be carried out in the building; it is not possible to launch a major renovation. “The officials offered to carry out a mold removal,” says Ryszard, “but with us remaining in the flat. I do not know how they imagined it? Will they clean the apartment and we will live and sleep here, breathing in the chemicals they need to use?”
