During most of winter, the temperature in Ribnovo hovers around freezing; however, the region gets quite a lot of rain, making for a damp cold that is more chilling for the human body. Next to Nefie’s house is a small storage space for ‘winter’ goods – including her firewood and vegetables she grows during the summer.
