Dawn • Merthyr is a small community within the town. I’ve lived here all my life, and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. It has been stereotyped by many outsiders as a 'bad', with high unemployment and a lot of homelessness.
To me, that’s not just true. In my job as a registered social landlord, I come across all kinds of people who are struggling, but there are also many who are passionate about the town and want to make a change. Personally, I feel safe because you know people. And because we're all facing rough times, we understand each other and help each other out.
