Dawn • We use more electricity than gas in this house. I suppose it's because of the gadgets we've got. Both the children have a computer, both have an iPad, both have a phone. We've got several TVs around the house as well. That's just normal these days, isn't it?
But everyone of those appliances need to be charged, and I've been paying roughly 180 pounds a month. When I looked at my finances and where I might be able to save money, the energy bill was the obvious place to start. We weren't paying attention to it: sometimes, several TVs are on but no one is really watching. Or we'd leave the lights or the radio on when we went out shopping. I don't know what we thinking -- that electricity was free?
