Rosa remembers well the day her situation went from bad to worse. She and her children, who have been squatting in this house since 2016, returned to find that thieves had broken in and stolen the windows, the wall sockets, and the entire water and electricity installation.
Now they run one extension cord to an outside electrical supply and feed other rooms with a network of power bars.
