Many of the old summer homes in Csillebérc are not officially recognised for residential use. The areas closest to Budapest have electricity, but no access to modern water and heating infrastructure. Naturally, the farther away and the fewer services, the lower the cost of the house. Csillebérc is a forested area, making firewood relatively easy to find. It is far from cheap, however.
