From above the village, the mosque of Ribnovo dominates the skyline. But a new device is also becoming more prevalent: solar panels that deliver energy to rooftop water heaters. A new 'energy story' is making its way into this traditional village. However, the systems cost €500 to €750 to install and are not very effective in winter, so they do not help to reduce the cost burden of water heating in the coldest part of the year.
