Compared with many women her age (39) in Europe, Nebie has a remarkably ‘last-century’ life – including keeping her wood stove well-fed to keep her house warm and cook her family’s meals. Unlike her parents, she does have the advantage of an electric pump for circulating hot water in the pipe network.
