We live in a three-bedroom semi-detached house. From my research, it was build in the 1940s and I bought it almost 20 years ago. Two years ago, we put an extension on the back.
I've known for a while that the climate - it's very windy and damp here - was causing damage to the outside. And we've had water come through to the inside by the front door.
If we didn't do repairs, it would just get worse and worse, and I'd begin to lose value on my investment. But there was no way I could find the money for repairs. I couldn't see a solution.
